Contact: Chris Chambers
Community Disability Advocacy is a project in partnership between People with disabilities WA (PWdWA) and Advocacy WA (AWA), supporting community-driven solutions to local issues affecting people with disabilities.
Community Disability Advocates (CDAs) will support up to 12 different Community Disability Advocacy Networks to implement a co-designed Local Disability Advocacy Network (LDAN) Model to enable communities to come together to fix local problems with local solutions.
By developing a Network in the community, the project will offer
- Grant support for up to $5,000.00 for community action plans
- Ongoing facilitation, secretariat, and mentorship support to Networks both existing or getting started.
- Linkages and grant writing support as needed.
- Training workshops and events to support skill building.
